^Liz is right. Gravity isn't causing them to fall at different rates. It is the atmosphere and pressures working against the flight of the feather, hence why on the moon a feather and a hammer fall at the same speed.

Although you probably don't believe we landed on the moon either.

I had a question on my physics test that said: If a tennis ball and a steel ball were dropped from the same height at the same time, which would hit the ground first?
