Good luck, man, and all the best for you. I'm about to have this same mindset for what I'm about to do in life, as well.

2.Focus on that one thing.
Pretty much no YouTuber has ever focused on that one thing, other than those that found success when they were 15. People have jobs. I could rattle you off UFC fighters who either have a second job, are training for or have completed a degree whilst being a fighter or are full time parents. It's easy to focus on one thing when you're 14 and running track or whatever is your life, but very rarely has any successful person ever been in a position to focus solely on one thing. This is life. You have to give yourself options.
3.Dont be afraid to step out of your comfort zone.
Isn't this being distracted and focusing on a different thing? If you're trying to be the best rapper in the world and you decide to stop working on your lyricism and work on your harmonies, you're no longer improving your lyricism. If you're focusing on producing your beats instead of your harmonies then now your lyrics and singing are not being trained. If you try to photoshop the cover yourself, not your beat making skills have begun to slack.
4.Dont be afraid of being yourself.
Every single successful person is fake as fuck. You think the guy you see on the media isn't media trained? You think the dude writing the self help book you bit this from hasn't ommitted the chapter where he does lines off of a hooker's ass crack? If you're in something like music, television, media or anything along those lines, you play a character. Sure, that character may well be an extension of yourself, but Lewis Capaldi might have become a superstar by showing a lot of himself but he's not waking up and filming himself when he has a full on argument with his mum cause he got in late last night where he calls her a bitch or some shit. People portray what they want. You want proof? How often to people wake up and kick around their house all day wearing a suit? You do it because someone has told you that you're supposed to in certain situations. That's the opposite of being yourself.
5.Don't be a sellout.
What if you don't have the talent and skills to market yourself? That's very easy to say, but unless you've ever successfully marketed yourself you're not going to know if you've got those skills. It's all well and good saying "If you're dope at interviews, you're going to get the job". Nice one, what if you're not? Do you cut your losses or do you do something else? Selling out is a construct in the eyes of someone else. Your dream is probably to get signed by a big deal company and produce your own music, awesome, you're a bitchass sellout to Immortal Technique (who frequently lets DJs ruin his songs for money but shh don't tell anyone).
6. Unhighlighted "You can do it" section
There's shit you can't do. That's just a fact. People get so hung up on the idea that because your mum told you to get a job and not follow your dream, that the world is out to get you. It isn't. Typically no one could give less fucks about what your dream is along as your rent's making it in on time. But if I'm saying "Punk homie, you can't jump over a building" you can't be like "Bitch you haven't seen out of my eyes, you don't know what I can't do". Reminds me of my dad saying "There's no such thing as can't". What's this bollocks based on? Where did you get it from? Oh you CAN'T remember? Fuck you dad I'm not going to my room.

Essentially, if you guys want the real answer to this, it's fucking simple. Find something you want to achieve, find out how you go about doing it and go and do it. Accept that there will be set backs and a degree of luck along the way and take the opportunities as they come.
You don't need this bollocks self help shit. The only time you need this is when you can't be bothered getting up off your ass to go and do it. You take your life advice from a Monday morning tweet from the morbidly obese probable rapist Joey Diaz and spend your day reading the self help books that their authors wouldn't have read in a million years.
You don't need advice like "Believe in yourself", "Wake up at 5am", "While you're sleeping someone else is going to get it". Fuck off. If you think lazy people haven't had an enormous amount of success you're not looking right.
If you're trying to be an artist, or entertainer etc. it's simple. Work on your talents to get them good enough, take opportunities, and hope that luck eventually finds you or you'll be living broke forever. Artistry is literally just a waiting game and the reason people drop off is either because they can't or won't wait any longer.

Agreed lol because my ass ain't walking up at 5 am to write a lyrics lmao.
But not everyone's the same. Some people can use the extra push when it comes to what to do or how to do it. Not referring to "self help, find yourself first". I agree that's far fetched but motivating someone to get them to stay on top of their game is what most really mean. For me, it take certain events and shit for me to realize how lazy I am. Gives me a push.

That's why YouTube / Streaming facinates me (how the fuck do you spell facinates?).
It's shifted the paradigm. Someone can wake up whatever tf they want, sit at their computer, play a few hours of games and make millions.

I find this conflicting.
I have a good paying job but it isn't who I am at all.
I've been working on a game for a long time, and I know I've always said this was just a hobby but I love it.
I feel like I'm holding my self back trying to juggle things. I feel like I needed to read this to finally decide on what I want out of life.
Respect Punk, I hope your music works out for you!

Add - stop watching / reading motivational shit all day and do it. You know what you’re not doing when you are wasting time watching motivational stuff? Whatever it is you are trying to accomplish
