Its not a theory
Everythings a theory until it can be proven
Hold a feather in one hand and a brick in another. Let them go
Why do they go down and not up? Why down and not left? Why do they fall at all and not just float there?
Gravity. It's an existential force, we just gave it a name.

Stupid Analogy.
A Feathers Construction Makes It Downward Movement Unpredictable.

^Liz is right. Gravity isn't causing them to fall at different rates. It is the atmosphere and pressures working against the flight of the feather, hence why on the moon a feather and a hammer fall at the same speed.
Although you probably don't believe we landed on the moon either.

I had a question on my physics test that said: If a tennis ball and a steel ball were dropped from the same height at the same time, which would hit the ground first?
Got -2 for saying the steel ball lol

That's because you didn't draw a diagram which demonstrated the tennis ball getting obstructed by a falcon which just happened to be flying by at the time.
