Rant raises some valid points and I think him getting banned was more to do with him spamming threads since i logged on and his name was on the entire first page. Obviously wording in OP didn't help but you're dammed if you do and dammed if you don't.

Voice your concerns politely and it goes in 1 ear and out the other.
