Hatton was robbed against Mayweather
Yeah I know this shit is like 5 years old and yes Hatton went on to get knocked out by Mayweather.
But seriously now. Hatton had May all sorts of shook. May didn't know how the hell to deal with him. And that's where mr Cortez comes in to play. Breaking the fight up every 2 seconds w.e hatton (the inside fighter) gets up close and personal. And as a result totally messing up Hattons natural game while boosting Mayweathers.
It was an absolute disgrace in my book. To the point it looked rigged.

I already said he got knocked out. We know this. But if you don't understand how so much un needed referring interference fucks up a fighters natural style and his game plan WHEN he was on top of Mayweather, you're clueless. You can't possibly say that this didn't have a negative effect on Hatton. Hatton was on top of Mayweather from mid to close range. Imagine if the ref didn't interfere when they were close.
A good referee is one who is barely seen. One who let's the fighters fight. Their was nothing illegal for 90+% of his interference.

Even if Cortez would of let him hold and hit on the inside i think May would of ended up winning, it would of been closer, but May was classes apart and the fight overall proved that imo.
Hatton was a very good fighter without question, but Mayweather is top 5 all time. Just too good.

I'm not denying Mays status. But the fact still remains that Hatton was actually beating Mayweather and may didn't know how to cope with him. He even nearly floored May in the first. I honestly think Hatton would have gone on to win had he been allowed to fight his own fight within the rules.
The constant interruptions eventually took it's tole. Which it would do with any fighter.

Mayweather won hands Down BUT i Do agree in a lot of Recent fights as Well when 2 fighters get on the inside and are really Dropping punches on each other some refs will come and Seperate them.............and Im always LIKE WTF?why didnt the ref let them Bang it out?I can see where you coming from tho.but Hatton would have lost anyway IMO....But Hatton was Undefeated in that fight and was a really good fighter before hand but i can agree some refs need to just back off they do interfere in a lot of ways i was Watching Holyfield Lewis a few days ago and the ref was all up on both fighters and almost got caught with a vicious Blow by holyfield lol

The ref did fuck the fight up... That's why when the ref took a point away from hatton .. Hatton bent over as if to say "why don't you just fuck me up the arse while your at it" ... Lol... Thats when hatton realised he was behind and had to change his gameplan and take silly chances
That being said .. I still think may weather would have won in the end anyway ...I Just wish I could have saw him get a fair go at beating may weather on a level playing field
I never thought he would have beaten kostya tszu either though... Going 1-2 against pound for pound leaders at the top of their game isn't a bad achievement ... Castillo was a great name to beat but he wasn't at the top of his game at the time

Yeah I'm the same with MMA. It's too sloppy once they start grappling n rolling on the ground. I prefer the sweet science.
As for the Hatton fight. It's there to see that Hatton genuinely had May stumped n rattled. And that wasn't even at close range. It was mid range. I can't help feeling if he was allowed to do his thing on the inside having already been on top of may, with that momentum. It genuinely could have been a different story.
I heard that Castillo was GENUINELY robbed by judges against May. I haven't seen it yet but apparently he bullied Mayweather. I'm going to watch it tonight.
Lol at fuck me up the ass comment. I remember that.
