Text Heavyweight Championship Match
Olde English Vs Rai
A legend returns to help us crown the first ever Text Heavyweight Champion. Olde English, Grand Champion of the golden era returns to the text box to challenge one of the sites most elite active battlers, the LBT King - Rai. Both have a very similar style, using schemes and creative punches to defeat there opponents. While Rai has been fighting through the competition on letsbeef over the last few years, Olde English has been expanding his already impressive resume by turning in top quality performances in britains top live battle leagues: Dont Flop & Premier Battles. Other than a one-off audio return during the Rookies Vs Vets event which saw Olde clash with fellow englishman RULE, this will be Olde English's first text arena battle in 8 years. This will be Rai's second time headlining a THC battle card, after being no-showed at Hostile Halloween 1 by Jimmy Hoffa.
Betting summary: This is a very unique scenario here which sees a legend return after a very long lay off. Olde English was unquestionably a massive heavyweight battler during his active time on Letsbeef, capturing the oft-sought after Grand Championship during one of the sites strongest eras of competition. On the other hand we have Rai who has been active and a mainstay at the top of the roster for years. Rai went on to win the illustrious LBT King prize, given only to the most dominant LBT champions. Stylistically they are very evenly matched. The big question mark is: After years of live battle writing, can Olde English transfer his talent back into the confines of the text box. With that question as yet unanswered, you have to give the SLIGHT edge to the active Rai for this one.
Betting favourite: Rai
Battle Card
Rican Vs Erupt (32 Lines)
In the first of three main event battles, we see the return of two-time Hall Of Famer Erupt, who clashes with the always dangerous Rican. Erupt has flirted with a return to competition over the last few years, and has decided to make his move in the THC. Rican is pulling double duty on this card, which we'll get to later. After a big win over Fidel on the last THC card, Rican is determined to stake his claim for the next title shot.
Betting summary: Ever since what was probably Ricans biggest low as a writer in the LBT battle loss against Jimmy Hoffa, Rican has bounced by in stunning form, defeating Fidel and Claythorne amongst others in his attempt to return to the Rican of old. Erupt who is a master of all trades seeks to return to the text battle scene with a big splash, but we cannot discount the effects of his inactivity. While he is no doubt capable of the highest level of verses, only time will tell if Erupt still is Da Monsta.
Betting favourite: Rican
Wretched Vs Celsius
Two of the sites best pens clash in the second main event of the card. Wretched has done much to regain his former form that previously took him to a Grand Championship, and made a massive stride towards that on the last card, winning both Battle of the card and Verse of the card in his winning effort Vs Saxx. Celsius returns to action after a short lay off to add to his own legacy that spans over ten years on Letsbeef. Widely regarded as one of the best to never win a Grand Championship, Celsius jumps back into the battle card world after his previous run as a defending LBT champion.
Betting summary: Wretched has been on great form lately, showing that GC form of old. Celsius on the other hand returns for his first battle since the summer. Both are capable of great verses, so its not easy to pick a favourite. That being said the recent form of Wretched probably gives him the slight edge going into this one.
Betting favourite: Wretched
Dave Vs Rican (32 Lines)
Rican's second battle of the card sees him match up against the unconventional Dave, whos unique style has cause massive issues for many letsbeef battlers. Throw into the mix some genuine personal issues and we have the makings of a classic here. Since finding a style that works to his strengths, Dave has been on a great run of form, becoming a puzzle no-one has solved as of yet. As mentioned earlier Rican is also in a strong run of form, returning to the old style that made him a heavyweight in the golden era. Expect a clash of Personals Vs Wordplay in this contest.
Betting summary: The clash of styles makes this very unpredictable. Rican will be the favourite as a long time Letsbeef heavyweight, but Dave will surprise no one if he pulls out the win here.
Betting favourite: Rican
The Saxx Baba Vs O_G
Saxx returns to THC action after his Battle of the card performance last month. His opponent is long time Letsbeef member O_G who has started to get more involved with the sites events.
Betting summary: Saxx showed his potential last time around against Wretched, and enters as a slight underdog to the veteran O_G who holds wins over many big names on Letsbeef.
Betting favourite: O_G
Collosal Mini Vs IIAM
Collosal makes his THC debut against IIAM who was unfortunately no-showed on the last card. Both looking to use the THC to kickstart there Letsbeef tenures.
Betting summary: Both enter with battle records in the red, but both have showed promise. With more battles under his belt, Collosal enters as the small favourite.
Betting favourite: Collosal Mini

Text Heavyweight Championship Match
Rai Vs Olde English
93% - 7%
The first ever Text Heavyweight battle featured one of the sites best active texters period, and an absolute legend from the golden era. Rai pulled out a very Rai-like verse, long multi sets with smooth punchlines. Maintaining a strong standard throughout the verse to really put the pressure on his opponent. Olde English returned to the text battlefield for the first time in 8 years. And to add to the issues that alone causes, OE has been live battling at a high standard during that hiatus. this meant OE had to shake the rust within his very first battle back. The result was a slightly inconsistant verse that showed signs of his golden era achievements. Longer builds and smaller multi sets also no doubt influenced by his live battling career. OE showed glimpses of his past with one or two nice punchlines, but couldnt compete with the active and effortless Rai. The torch was passed, and Rai deservedly became the first Text Heavyweight Champion of letsbeef.
Rai's BOTB:
I had no idea what league u battled in before, & to think u were the PRIME STAR IS LOONY… "RULE's plainly stated Don't Flop…" So I just assumed "you were the LIFEGUARD ON DUTY!!!!"/
Olde English's BOTB
bitch get served over the net, that's KOURNIKOVA, if ur the man to beat, then this WAR IS OVER, ur styles a carbon coby of LB VETS, but ur the FALLEN SOLDIER, just a part of the furniture,,, who took his ^L lying down^ like a CORNER SOFA/
==============================
Battle Card
Rican Vs Erupt
37% - 63%
Two of the sites greats met for a clash a long time in the making. Rican began his double duty on this card by making a very brave decision with his verse. Instead of the standard battle format, Rican's verse made mention of everyone Erupt has ever lost to, giving Ricans drop a "this is your life" feel to it. Voters seemed to be torn over whether this was a good idea or not, but the close voting might imply the risk was somewhat worthwhile. Erupt returned to the text arena after a short break and took a few lines to get back in the swing of things. After an average (by his standards) opening 4 or 5 lines Rupt picked up steam and was rocking as he headed towards the verses end. Plenty of good punches and that patented Erupt swagger was enough to push him over the line to victory. This titans clash was also named the battle of the card.
Rican's BOTB:
x2? I got something better, please hold. Don't confuse me for the type to ever GRIEVE SOULS, he wanted action,asking-for a slice then 'Phrac: shunned him twice' & ever since... he's NEVER BEEN ''WHOLE''!/
Erupt's BOTB
Portraying kid as GIFTED n DOPE MANN, i say yall TRIPPIN' w/ THOSE PLANS, I could have "sex in virtual reality" and still never "GET WIT" the "PROGRAM"!!!/
==============================
REZN Vs Celsius
17% - 83%
This battle was a rematch of the Grand Championship final that saw REZN (fka Rant) defeat the veteran Celsius for the sites coveted Grand Champion title. REZN came into this card with momentum after winning battle & verse of the card awards at Hostile Halloween 1, while Celsius was making somewhat of a comeback after a short inactive period. The voting consensus seemed to agree that Cel seems much more motivated than his opponent during this battle, understandable given the Grand Championship result a few years earlier. The battle came down to REZN's longer built punches and Celsius constant hits. In the end the readers sided with Celsius, giving him a big win over his old foe.
REZN's BOTB:
Your writing's trash. You MISSED THE MARK. WELL UNDER. Just a target to point the "chrome at, 'n" when I kill you? On the "low, cuz," the DNA won't match. IT'S AN ART! TELL OTHERS the way you "lie's so-so, man." I'm just here to PICK APART 'CEL'S STRUCTURE!!'(Chromatin, locus, lysosome, cell structure.)
Celsius's BOTB
Wouldn't be the first time he couldn't get Slim! This HERB BE WEIGHING A BUNCH, "held it all back for the challenge - he never came', I HEARD HE'S TAKING IT ROUGH, Cause his rap career was like No Nut November...30 DAYS AND A BUST.
==============================
EtH Vs Rican
58% - 42%
Rican continued his path to redemption with the second of his scheduled 32 line battles on this card, locking up against the sites biggest wildcard EtH. A strong argument can be made for EtH as being the most improved battler of the last few years, creating a style that has become extremely hard to counteract. Mixing personals with humour in a way never really seen before, EtH has become a legitimate text battling heavyweight. Rican dropped the conceptually approach he adopted against Erupt, but did make some alterations it seems to mirror EtH's personal and live battle-esque style. Stepping out of his comfort zone again in a second straight battle was another very brave move by the old veteran but EtH's verse was just too well written to be combated by a similar style of verse. EtH not only picked up the win here, but also edged out Rai to collect the verse of the card award.
EtH's BOTB:
The definition of irony: - He got beat by Jim, was mad and grumpy SAD AND SULKY and why did he lose?...LACK OF MULTIS! He's so bad at cheating, each EXCUSE HE'S GOT'S SHOCKING see he'll reply to this verse rapid just to PROVE HE'S NOT STALLIN!
Rican's BOTB
We know he's REALLY A MOLESTER 'in these streets' & for that, he'll 'get shot in the eye' that's a CHILEAN PROTESTER. Nah, Get cut up first. RICAN'S GRIMM WITH SCISSORS.This is no 'Chrismas carols in Helsinki' but I'll FINNISH HYMN: THIS WINTER/
==============================
O_G Vs The Saxx Baba
70% - 30%
O_G made his Text Heavyweight Championship debut with a quickly written, effortless verse that has become his signature style. Mixing street rhymes with clever nameplay O_G managed to defeat a very game Saxx, who put in another very solid effort, but still ended up with the result going against him. While O_G made a big mark, Saxx also proved even with a loss that he has bags of potential and will be a problem for anyone to face.
O_G's BOTB:
.i hop up wit a tree saw..SPLIT HIS FUCKIN KNOGGIN IN HALF... Think 'potato bag races"..i "GET IT 'JUMPIN' BODY-IN "SAX'!!
The Saxa Baba's BOTB
ensuring that he remains BEATEN AND BRUISED and sees fires (ceasefires) like he repping some BEACON OF TRUCE instead of the LEGION OF DOOM!!
==============================
ColossalMini Vs IIAM
0% - 100%
Colossal and IIAM clashed in the final battle of the card to open. Colossal displaying a very unique style which some voters found hard to judge, while IIAM came out in a more conventional style and offered up enough to see him get the win.
Colossal's BOTB:
My bad if this FOOL was tryna GET FURTHER... They'll find his body in the POOL like a SIMS MURDER, or it's a pool game... Like, If you were tryna break me, then you'll FIND THAT I'M SOLID, so you betta scratch that, on cue, cause I got a FIVE IN MY POCKET
IIAM's BOTB
Even is that FOSSIL JIMMY HOFFA, offered’ up to pen down that AWFULY TIRED MANTRA, u’re still as ferocious as a ’MINI MOTHRA!’ So when ii ‘Vomit THAT-ATOMIC-CONTACT-BEAM,’ i still off ya, & THAT ENTIRE-shitty-CONTRACT-TEAM!
