My prediction for 2020
By 2020 a lot of companies will be focused on the unification of technology..universalizing everything into one
Back in the day you needed an Mp3 player to listen to music, a computer to use the internet, and a cell phone to talk to someone.
An iPod came out.. Soon after people joked and poked fun at the idea of an iPod thats a phone.. Then the iPhone dropped.
The technology they're puttin in phones is crazy now.. 12megapixel cameras, HD screens, 3d technology, computer-like RAM...
Why buy a TV, a computer, a phone, and a gaming console...when you can just universalize that technology and put it into one device?
They have already made the push from phones to mini-computers. But now my guess is that by 2020...Apple & Google will be directly competing with Microsoft, Sony, & Nintendo as they look to make their phones the ultimate gaming consoles

Yes...the God speaks..droppin a lil foresight on ya'll niggas. I just hope ya'll peep game
Take note that Android is making huge pushes for their OS to be gaming friendly and they want developers to keep pushing the bar and dropping better games as each OS arrives & phones get better hardware
hence Android Market now being known as "Google PLAY"..
You'll be gaming from phones & tablets by 2020. Companies like Sony, MS, & Nintendo will probably counter-react that movement with their take on virtual reality.

I don't think you understand what i'm saying..
Summary:
I'm saying phones will eliminate the need for computers and game consoles by 2020. They will be the preferred device for gaming & computing......phones & tablets, that is.
Desktop computers as you know them will be a thing of the past. Like typewriters.
It's a prediction based on technological advancements they're making on phones..and the pace they're happening at
If you dont know jack shit about computers/phones, 2GB RAM, quad-core 1.8Ghz processors, 720p displays and 12mega pixel cameras don't mean shit to you. But all those specs are expected to be on this phone thats dropping NEXT MONTH.. An Android phone. They're optimizing their OS to become more like a mobile gaming device, and its processor already beats out alot of computers..not to mention the RAM is up to par with computers and the camera..you could buy a standalone12mp camera for $200
Google is just a monster of a company

lol @ "this isn't even close to a reality yet"
Yeah you need to step your technology game up. They've had phones that project shit for a while now. actually, you can buy a projector for your iPhone.
There's phones that charge wirelessly now too. Phones that provide Wi-Fi for other devices. Fuckin CNN had a Will.I.Am hologram and you don't think we have the technology?
Battery life is cake. They can drop a phone that lasts a week, but they choose not to because that adversely affects the battery manufacturing companies and of course, whoever your electricity provider is.
To put it in perspective.. My phone has a 1500mAh battery. I charge this shit like 2-3 times a day, only because I fucked up the battery. When I had this shit brand new, I only charged it once a day.
I can buy a 3,600mAh extended battery...and it would last me 2-3 days easily.
DROID RAZR is a phone that lasts you a day with like 2200mAh battery
DROID RAZR MAXX has 3,300mAh and it lasted someone 3 days with no charger
What's stopping somebody from dropping an 8,000mAh battery? Lol.

The technology available to the public is like an old toy that another kid doesn't want anymore.
So he hands it down to his little brother.
There's technology me & you aren't even aware of...that makes this little convo about phones replacing computers such a minor thing because there's probably technology that blows this shit out of the water
It's already possible for phones to do this. But they have to move with the curve. Notice how companies always drop the same technology around the same time? A Playstation drops, an Xbox drops around the same time, with pretty much the same features. Same with phones. An iPhone drops, something else with the same features tries to one up it.
All of these companies talk behind closed doors & they agree on what they're going to release to the public. They don't wanna leave us in shock by dropping a technology that was set to be released 20 years from now.

I completely agree with Pulse but Jasons points just as strong. Our plasmas will never be replaced considering theyve made internet friendly tvs also knows as smart tvs ad plus in our society in most cases bigger is better and as far as i know they got tvs that are 80".. Im sure theres bigger too lol.
No but seriously i agree with you pulse because all that shit will happen with phones no doubt but to say it'll replace tvs or gaming consoles is a joke because realistically "we want it all". Also, d much rather play games on a big tv witg a controller and not a small touch screeb phone with a mediocore speaker system.

I'm not saying they'll completely replace TV's or gaming consoles.
TV's will still be around. Game consoles too.
but phones are trying to do everything right now. In fact iPod Touch outsells nintendo DS and PSP as the preferred mobile gaming device

i for one would rather love a big ass tv,with console for games, speaker system and the whole works
but i think pulse is trying to say they are evolving all and cramming everything into less and less devices to get the most outta less.. to fit 100 things you can do in ge n on a phone or somthing.. we got PSP vita for a handheld but its kinda expanding big into t.screen etc compared to the earlier model.. i think we always gonna have the big ass screen unless you can get a crystal clear projector but that thing in the living room is liek "a man's toy" that he shows off to his friends like a car or somthing
i mean both got nice concepts but in reality we are all advanceing, dont shut out and idea cause anything is possible.. like fying for instance.. and if they can integrate what they already have while having "slide out proc keyboards for iphones",games on phones, streaming of videos in tha palm of your hand you'd never know
20 years ago we wdnt imagine HALF THE SHIT we have.. but works pays off.. i aint dick riding anyone im optimistic but cant shut out anyone's thought and call em an idiot either.. just gootta work to collab over ideas and talk it out civilized is all

yeah phone companies are trying to drive a lot of attention their way cause they have a lot of competition seeing so many carriers around and rising, they arent here to shut out "tv's,gaming consoles, etc" but to just drive more people their way when it comes to phones
main plats and shit liek games, tvs, and shit will always have their own arena of things but phones are just there to bring as much hype their way as they can,i pods only outsell cause mainly thier music and web browsing etc not much to do with the games, and PSP>DS unless your like (9 or somthing/nintendo deadass fan)
ik what your saying bro its cool
