But I think players that show up at Ruckers park to play like Kobe did in 02, Durant did 2 years back, Brandon Jennings, Beasley, all them dudes probably get respect. 1. All of them are more respected just for the fact they own their own record label/business label.
2. They all have more money.
3. More platinum albums/championships (Fame; recognition)
4. Went from the hood to dealing with some of the most important people in the world.

Those 3 are all over the map, which means they're more respected in different areas in the world.
Not everyone knows Jada like that. Him & Method Man are probably the most underrated rappers & just cause the hood feels them more doesnt mean they have more respect all together.
