Who's to say.
Rape, murder, theft ect isn't normal/right?
Who's to say that these very actions aren't just normal human behavious that we were born or programmed, w.e you wanna call it, to do?
It's only made up human laws which dictate whats right or wrong for people who these very actions are natural urges.
Wild animals for instance kill their own with no repercussions, they steal food from another predators kill with no repercussions other than the natural tribal urge to fight it out, and to the winner go the spoils. I could go on but you get where I'm going with this.

I think this is true, to a point. The only reason I haven't killed anybody is because I simply don't have the urge to, not because I might get locked up. However the murder rate would increase because those with the urge would just keep on killing, serial killers for instance. Imagine if the likes of Dhama and Gasey never got incarcerated?
But that's a different debate.

I think the only learning involved is in the actual execution of, not the initial urge to. @ stricc
I didn't learn to like rap. I played it, I listened, I liked, I wanted to do it. But if I wanted to do it myself, then I had to teach myself how.
I didn't learn to like murder, I watched it, I liked, I wanted to do it, But if I wanted to do it then I had to teach myself how.
^ That only applies to serial killers though. People kill when backed into a corner when they have no other choice. Thats different. That's pure survival instinct.

Right and wrong are just arbitrary concepts. In a literal sense there is no such thing as right and wrong. We construct what we consider right and wrong, so I think it's a bit silly to make decisions as to whether or not or not the natural behavior of species is right or wrong.
Anyway, with regard to normalcy, there are certainly different levels of normal for different species. One of the things with humans is that we have higher order thinking skills and have a large number of personalities and behaviors, much unlike most animals, which makes understanding the fundamental human character very difficult.
If it is, I don't honestly see the problem with it. I may horror our sense of morality, but that's just something that we constructed, there's nothing absolute about it.

Bingo. We make these decisions and judgements based on the consensus. I.E Murder & Theft is wrong because it is seen as abnormal and abhorrent to the majority who don't take part in these acts, the rule get's passed. Public outcry peer pressure ect. if you don't fall in line with what the majority deemed normal, you will lose.
This obviously isn't the case all of the time though. Since the system has been manipulated for monetary gain. Taxes ect. if you don't pay these, even extortionate fees, you will be given a prison sentence as you are "Breaking the law"
