Idk, because if someone tells me that they just voted especially a noob then it leads to to suspect that it was a shit vote (unless it ends up not being a shit vote, of course.)

It basically became part of the LB culture. You could tell who was new back in the day just by who didn't include that "fair vote,fv,etc" in their votes. Following suit made it a habit.

Usually because of the character limit. I get it te hat it was to increase quality of votes. But sometimes you don't need that many characters to explain a simple vote.

I use is more as a sign off I guess you would say. It's just what I've always seen, you say "FV, no h8"...just a cultural thing we do I suppose.
