Well, before you continue I would like to explain some of the User Control Panel and Forum Features we have here at Letsbeef.com! If you go to the left hand side and scroll up you will notice the following information is displayed,

Hi, EMCEE - Credits: 0 - Mail: 0/0
Battle Challenges: 0 Personal - 0 Crew
Status: Basic Member (Upgrade to Exclusive)

Some of the displayed information may very depending on a couple factors. You may or may not see "0 Crew", this will only be displayed if you are invited to a crew, which you can get information about in the Crew Section of this guide.

Your Credits are used to Create Battles or Join Cyphers. It costs 3 Credits to create a battle or join a cypher and 0 Credits to create a cypher. You may also notice that your credit amount changes from time to time. If you look at the very top left hand side you will see three buttons, one will be highlighted yellow while the others remain un-highlighted, their names are (Audio, Text, and Video). Whichever one is highlighted yellow is the one your currently viewing. I.E: You may have 10 Audio Credits while only having 5 Text Credits. This will vary depending on how much you vote on battles that are related to your specific interest. You can learn more about this by going to the Voting System section of this guide. Last but not least, you have your mailbox which display 0 (Unread) / 0 (Total) in your mail. Simply click it to go straight to your mail.

Well, that concludes the New Registered Users section of this guide which is a big guide all in it's own. For even more information about letsbeef.com please continue reading on!

Text Battles

Their are three types of battles; Text Battles, Audio Battles, and Video Battles. These are all explained here in this guide in the appropriate sections. In order to create a Text Battle, hover over the Text section on the top navigation bar and select "Create Text Battle". Once in this panel you can choose to create a Private or Open battle, Ranked or Unranked Battle, and an 8, 16, 32, or 64 line battle also known as 4 Bars, 8 Bars, 16 Bars, and 32 Bars in-which 1 bar is equal to two lines.

These same rules apply to Text Cyphers except you can choose to do a solo cypher or allow multiple people to join you in your cypher with a simple selection from a drop-down bar as well as choose the Cypher topic. Enjoy your Text Battles / Cyphers!

Once you create your text battle you have to fill the text battle box completely before submitting. The text above will show you how many lines you have completed already. (This may not show from time to time depending on your web browser) If you complete all of the lines successfully and you still can not submit the battle for some reason, you can try 1 of 2 things (ALWAYS COPY YOUR BATTLE BEFORE SUBMITTING)

1. Copy your battle and refresh the page
2. Copy your battle delete a line or two and check to see if you can click the Submit Battle button. You can do this by hovering over the button holding down the mouse button to see if it selects it and presses the button, then dragging the mouse off the button before releasing the click. If that works and it allows you to press the button, then highlight all the text and press Ctrl + V. Proceed to press the submit button to post your battle.

Audio Battles

Audio Battles and Cyphers require you to have somewhat of a decent microphone and internet speed / connection. Once you have acquired both of these, your on your way to becoming an Audio Battler. To create an Audio Battle hover your mouse over the Audio button in the top navigation bar and click the Create Audio Battle button. Once in this panel you will be provided a customization page for your audio battle just like the one for your text battles except with different options. The options you have to choose from are as follows,

Written or Freestyle
(This is important, people do not like to see writers select the freestyle option. It is like photo shopping $100's in your hand. Although, accidents happen simply post in the comment section that it is a written if you happen to make a mistake.)

Length
(You have the option to choose how long your Audio Battle is. This changes between Audio Cyphers and Battles.)

Beat
(Here you can choose the beat for your Cypher or Battle. You can choose from either a list of sponsored beats created by letsbeef.com and their affiliates or select the Accapella or Custom beat option where you can play your own instrumental. When playing a custom beat it is best to play the beat through a good pair of speakers while speaking clearly into your microphone. Then adjust your sound after the recording is finished)

Private or Open
(Here you can choose between battling a specific user or battle anyone who accepts your challenge.)

Ranked or Unranked
(This specifies whether or not your battles will be ranked. If you lose the battle in a ranked battle it will go against your score and all time rank. You want to make sure you elevate before creating ranked battles.

Once you have finished customizing and setting up your Cypher or Battle, you can proceed to the recording step after clicking the Start a Battle or Start a Cypher button. Once in the recording section you must click the red record button once you are ready (You may be prompted to allow the recording. Just click accept and the countdown timer will start.) to start the recording. A countdown timer will start backwards from five once the recording button is clicked. When the timer finishes, the recording will start and your beat will start playing unless you have selected the Acapella or Custom Beat option in the previous step. Once you have finished your recording you can play it back and listen to how it sounds and submit it. If you mess up in the middle and want to start over, their is a little trick that everyone knows on here as the "back button" trick. Although it is not proper to use it in battles. It is very handy and common to use when creating cyphers and it will save you a lot of Audio Credits in the long-run. We can keep that a secret between you and I though. (Shhhh!) While knowing this trick, it completely eliminates the explanation and use of the retry button, which is self-explanatory as it is. The more retries you use on a battle or cypher, the more credits are deducted and depending on the type of battle or cypher it is, the less chance you will have to even submit your creation.

That concludes the audio section of this guide, for even more information on letsbeef.com continue reading below.

(Due to the 20,000 character limit on Letsbeef.com I had to divide the guide into two posts.)
