The Bnas situation
The reason I'm making this thread is that Bnas is a very well-known and active site user, and I will likely face countless questions and conspiracies over why he has been banned. To make sure everything is transparent, I am outlining everything here.
Bnas has a friend from Thunder Bay called DMK. DMK is a confirmed live battler. Bnas has previously logged onto DMK's account, and has been infracted for self-voting using this account previously. He was warned that any votes by this account on his battles would be considered self-voting several years ago. Recently, DMK returned to the site after not battling since about 2012 and dropped a large number of votes, including votes against people Bnas had just been found to have hate voted against, as well as voting for Bnas in 7 battles, including some that he was very close to losing.
After spending several days looking into the matter and making sure I had all the facts available, I decided to infract Bnas for self-voting, which carries a 30-point infraction. Bnas had 170 outstanding infraction points for previous offences, which meant he now had 200 infraction points. This leads to an automatic 6-month ban from the site. I have also banned DMK for 6 months as this is the correct procedure for a multi of a banned account.

The other snipers are popping champagne. He’ll be missed. His vote on my latest battle is the most eloquent thing I’ve ever seen.

Off topic but how do we discourage folks from becoming sniping junkies like that. I mean 90% of us got sniped as rookies which made us bettter, but doing it exclusivities as a vet is just so tasteless. Like you probably aren’t getting any better beating noobs and it low key looks cowardly after awhile.
I think open battles should count less toward season rankings. Also 16s and 32s should weigh more in rankings along with how the battle was rated overall

I proposed getting rid of the flames the other day. These guys will only snipe noobs in order to keep them. Some of em flat out admit it. There should be no form of recognition whatsoever for that bullshit. In exchange for the flames, an interchangeable middleweight title would be an idea to get these snipers to actually battle each other. Maybe even a middleweight tournament where they don’t feel discouraged going against better competition. The FVC is about to get mod VP....maybe evaluating who belongs in those competitions could be something they’d do. Idk....just spinning my wheels here but I’m as sick of it as anyone.

I was thinking he could do
Heavyweights: Title Holders / Vets
Light Heavyweights: People who don’t got titles yet, but are nearly heavyweights.
Middleweights: People who know what they’re doing, but not at the level where almost everything they make is a bar.
Lightweights: People who kind of know what they’re doing, but still don’t have a very good grasp on all aspects of rapping.
Featherweights: First five battles.
You could also combine featherweights with lightweights and middleweights with light heavyweights to create a mixweight system, and have it
Tier 1 (HW)
Tier 2 (LHW and MW)
Tier 3 (LW and FW).
I’ve been saying this since a year ago when I came here
Matter of fact, if @ RULE @ Kiwi Peewee or @ Rai will allow it, I can make an unofficial league to see how it turns out
