Aiight here we go.. 1 bar tourney.

Obviously people feel strong about this, I personally don't give a fuck. My bars, my battles. Especially on a site, bars will only get viewed by a small amount of people. So if I decide to re use something in hopes to get it out there to be seen by more, then who gives a fuck. Emotional ass people man acting like it's the end of the world, shits crazy. It won't happen again & if y'all want me to say I fucked up, then sure, I fucked up. I have no issue w owning that but I don't think it should be looked down on so much. Everyone does it, people can front all they want. Like I said. My bars, my battles. Wasn't taken from someone else, I wrote that shit.

This is as real as I can get bout the situation, if people don't fuck w me over it then good for y'all. @Kiwi Peewee hit me w that DQ, you ain't gonna hurt my feelings.

Are you a troll or confused? Do you know how to freestyle? I'm still at the stage where I have a horrible habit of repeating shit while I freestyle even within the same exact freestyle sometimes I'll start repeating the same words again.

It's allowed here when it's used in a different format. For example, if you used a line in a text battle, you are allowed to reuse it again in an audio battle. I'm not sure if the mods would consider a One Bar tourney a different format or not. It's definitely not as bad as biting, but imo it should still be discouraged. Hip Hop is all about originality and being "fresh" and if recycling were rampant, we would lose that. I'm not judging you or speaking specifically about your situation @MadVerbs. I'm just expressing how I feel about recycling in general.

I’m under the impression that recycling a bar from another text battle in a tournament is an auto-loss (although I don’t think it warrants an infraction). This was the case for Grizz and Rican in the tag tourney iirc and it’s important to keep a consistent policy.

I don’t want to rush in if I’m misinformed, so if anyone has any information or thoughts as to why it shouldn’t be a DQ please let me know as soon as possible. In the mean time, everyone needs to vote NORMALLY on the battle AS IF THERES NO CHANCE OF A DQ because I will just delete all votes for MV before I close it anyway if he’s DQed so it doesn’t matter.

There’s a very clear rule about recycling and being given an auto DQ.

Don’t get me wrong I’ve got all the respect in the world for MadVerbs for coming clean about it, but him saying he should be DQ’d for recycling in a tourney battle says all you need to really know about the situation. The rules are the rules and if you don’t enforce them, then everyone’s gonna start recycling their shit and point to this as the reason why it’s ok.
