I just got a box of chocolates, but I haven't opened it yet.
Momma always said you never know what you get.
So I'm hoping to death fingers crossed over my chest,
But even though my lungs are healthy I'm not holding my breath
Cause I'm old enough to know that leaves you holding regret
And I know it can be repeated over again.
So though I'm hoping you're sweet, I won't hold it against.
I'll just appreciate the taste seeing where it goes next.
Barefoot on the broken glass, I'm watching my step
Pursuing a happiness that isn't common to get.
Climbing atop a mountain that's the tallest I've met,
Cause you're leaving me wondering where the oxygen went.
This little game we play you could call it roulette
And I'm not entirely sure if you'll be calling my bet,
But it's more than worth the risk, I'm putting all of it in.
Except I don't need to get lucky to call it a win.
