Text Heavyweight Championship Match
Olde English Vs Rai
A legend returns to help us crown the first ever Text Heavyweight Champion. Olde English, Grand Champion of the golden era returns to the text box to challenge one of the sites most elite active battlers, the LBT King - Rai. Both have a very similar style, using schemes and creative punches to defeat there opponents. While Rai has been fighting through the competition on letsbeef over the last few years, Olde English has been expanding his already impressive resume by turning in top quality performances in britains top live battle leagues: Dont Flop & Premier Battles. Other than a one-off audio return during the Rookies Vs Vets event which saw Olde clash with fellow englishman RULE, this will be Olde English's first text arena battle in 8 years. This will be Rai's second time headlining a THC battle card, after being no-showed at Hostile Halloween 1 by Jimmy Hoffa.
Betting summary: This is a very unique scenario here which sees a legend return after a very long lay off. Olde English was unquestionably a massive heavyweight battler during his active time on Letsbeef, capturing the oft-sought after Grand Championship during one of the sites strongest eras of competition. On the other hand we have Rai who has been active and a mainstay at the top of the roster for years. Rai went on to win the illustrious LBT King prize, given only to the most dominant LBT champions. Stylistically they are very evenly matched. The big question mark is: After years of live battle writing, can Olde English transfer his talent back into the confines of the text box. With that question as yet unanswered, you have to give the SLIGHT edge to the active Rai for this one.
Betting favourite: Rai
Battle Card
Rican Vs Erupt (32 Lines)
In the first of three main event battles, we see the return of two-time Hall Of Famer Erupt, who clashes with the always dangerous Rican. Erupt has flirted with a return to competition over the last few years, and has decided to make his move in the THC. Rican is pulling double duty on this card, which we'll get to later. After a big win over Fidel on the last THC card, Rican is determined to stake his claim for the next title shot.
Betting summary: Ever since what was probably Ricans biggest low as a writer in the LBT battle loss against Jimmy Hoffa, Rican has bounced by in stunning form, defeating Fidel and Claythorne amongst others in his attempt to return to the Rican of old. Erupt who is a master of all trades seeks to return to the text battle scene with a big splash, but we cannot discount the effects of his inactivity. While he is no doubt capable of the highest level of verses, only time will tell if Erupt still is Da Monsta.
Betting favourite: Rican
Wretched Vs Celsius
Two of the sites best pens clash in the second main event of the card. Wretched has done much to regain his former form that previously took him to a Grand Championship, and made a massive stride towards that on the last card, winning both Battle of the card and Verse of the card in his winning effort Vs Saxx. Celsius returns to action after a short lay off to add to his own legacy that spans over ten years on Letsbeef. Widely regarded as one of the best to never win a Grand Championship, Celsius jumps back into the battle card world after his previous run as a defending LBT champion.
Betting summary: Wretched has been on great form lately, showing that GC form of old. Celsius on the other hand returns for his first battle since the summer. Both are capable of great verses, so its not easy to pick a favourite. That being said the recent form of Wretched probably gives him the slight edge going into this one.
Betting favourite: Wretched
Dave Vs Rican (32 Lines)
Rican's second battle of the card sees him match up against the unconventional Dave, whos unique style has cause massive issues for many letsbeef battlers. Throw into the mix some genuine personal issues and we have the makings of a classic here. Since finding a style that works to his strengths, Dave has been on a great run of form, becoming a puzzle no-one has solved as of yet. As mentioned earlier Rican is also in a strong run of form, returning to the old style that made him a heavyweight in the golden era. Expect a clash of Personals Vs Wordplay in this contest.
Betting summary: The clash of styles makes this very unpredictable. Rican will be the favourite as a long time Letsbeef heavyweight, but Dave will surprise no one if he pulls out the win here.
Betting favourite: Rican
The Saxx Baba Vs O_G
Saxx returns to THC action after his Battle of the card performance last month. His opponent is long time Letsbeef member O_G who has started to get more involved with the sites events.
Betting summary: Saxx showed his potential last time around against Wretched, and enters as a slight underdog to the veteran O_G who holds wins over many big names on Letsbeef.
Betting favourite: O_G
Collosal Mini Vs IIAM
Collosal makes his THC debut against IIAM who was unfortunately no-showed on the last card. Both looking to use the THC to kickstart there Letsbeef tenures.
Betting summary: Both enter with battle records in the red, but both have showed promise. With more battles under his belt, Collosal enters as the small favourite.
Betting favourite: Collosal Mini
