Topical Championship '14 ROUND 1. Octavia VS. Dono (5-0 Dono)
TOPIC
It's easy to believe someone when they're telling you exactly what you want to hear. -Anonymous
The topical line limit will be no longer than 20-30 lines, anything over that and you will be DQ'd. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Anything not in the lyrical content will STILL count in to your line length, so be careful as to what you put in your topical.
Both writers have until the 3rd of December to get their verses in.
Good luck to both.
@ Octavia @ Dono

I. Destroyed. Jessica's home was a box on the curb...
She'd never spoken a lot of the hurt, never told an adult or a court
No love from her parents, crack addicts, or smoking the chronic and herbs
Most days they wouldn't even know that their daughter was born
But if they saw her, she'd be beat with a hose or assaulted with birch
Sometimes she tried to remove her focus from problems with porn
Filed-away memory, when they were opened her conscious was burned
She'd been pimped out when she was only a toddler of four
It left an uncontrollable trauma of sorts
Life was all flashbacks, this mental torture was hard to endure
Hours wasted away in her motionless sobs on the floor
Barely out of middle school already broken in body and soul
II. Reassembled. She was hungry, needed food, just stolen a box from the store
Suddenly she saw a boy strolling along with his shorts
And a photo of a cross on his shirt, he asked me if I was alone and I want to converse
I said yes, he sat down, and asked me why I'm broke and my father is poor
No wait for a reply, he blamed it on the socialist, communist whores
Claimed every Jewish broker's the cause at the core
And everyone who goes into politics works to make the global economy worse
Put us in private prisons, the motive is profit of course
And let foreign filth in to lower our culture to dirt
But we, the proud, can resist, we're the owners, the dominant force
I opened up my soul and I started to search
I understood it all, he asked if I would go to their conclave at church
III. Repetition. There was no church. I realized he was an informant that targets the poor
I heard him laugh to another... there was no invasion, just the most antisocial of cops on the force
He showed me a badge on his chest that was molded from copper and gold
"Welcome to prison, bitch, a mark on my quota is all that you're worth"

Read this poem careful or the reaction is wrong
We were close ****** so the attraction was strong
We were finally home alone, her mother out of town
I could see she was nervous, staring at the ground
I knew things; she was feisty, liked to experiment with toys
Raised by a single parent, not much experience with boys
Slurred syllables spoken quickly, half the words a garbled message
I interpreted and knew precisely how she wanted tended
You see for her our actions played out in fantasy
Doing whatever she wants, we remain loud and avidly
I lift her, rocking up and down, hoisting her in the air
In moments, so soon, felt moisture I was unprepared
I realized she was soaked through.....oh yes she was wet
And I can't think of anybody whose flesh I'd neglect
Knew I would come for her now so she wiggled and she fought
Then said quietly 'hey.....you're bigger than a log!'
I couldn't read how she felt, but it seems like I helped
Without me she wouldn't have had the means by herself
She gently felt my caress as I helped her undress
A new action, went slow so she never felt too much stress
I then placed my head between her legs, a whiff just reeked
As I changed the pee-filled diaper of my infant niece
Read this poem careful or the reaction is wrong
We were close family so the attraction was strong
It's easy to believe someone when they're telling you exactly what you want to hear, pervert.

In the beginning, I felt one had an interesting story but the reasoning of it seemed to have no connection at the end. It seemed like the ending was not what I expected, it wasn't really.. the point of the story, you know? The whole buildup was the life struggles of a young girl who was mentally and physically tortured, the ending was some government agenda coming into play. Kept me reading, but the ending was not what was expected.
The other: I like these kind of reads, it really puts the human mind into perspective and what kind of society this is. While it also being comical, it sustained my read because in my head, it was sexual all the way through, forgetting completely what you said about reading carefully. Crazy how much sex excels the mind, cool and original idea here.
When it's all said in done, I felt one could've executed his story better. I could see him becoming a good topical writer in the future. Out of the box material and the ability to make me think took the cake, to me, for this one. My vote goes to: @ Dono

Just when I thought I'd seen it all in a topical. Damn @ Dono, that was original as hell. I can't vote but this was a good battle here.
